This is such an easy meal that can be made in about three different ways. We love to eat this for breakfast, lunch, or supper! We used a double boiler to create this oatmeal. This is also great as an overnight oatmeal where you just combine all the ingredients and leave in the refrigerator overnight and eat the next morning cold or warmed up. You may have to add some additional milk if it gets too thick.

With the double boiler method, you can throw all your ingredients into your pan and gently warm up until the oats are absorbed with the milk. You can also soak your oats ahead of time and use less milk. This way you won't have to warm it for very long if you're worried about overheating the oatmeal. Either way, you have an easy meal no matter what time of the day!

We also share on the video about our new experiment with gray hair. One of our You Tube viewers left a comment on our Frappe recipe in which we talked about black sesame seeds and the benefits (one of which is getting rid of gray hair). She stated how black sesame seeds got rid of her gray hair, so Kristy and I decided we'd give it a try. We'll write a separate blog post this week on our website about our experiment including pictures of Kristy's gray hair since she has lots more than I do! Our plan is to use black sesame seeds every day and we'll be sharing ways in which we do that. Let's see if we can't get rid of some of our gray hair!

Energizing Blueberry Breakfast Bowl

Serves 2-4

Ingredients:

1/2 cup blueberries

1 banana, chopped

2T sliced almonds

1T coconut shreds, unsweetened

2T hemp seeds

1T flax, ground

1/2T tahini

1/2T almond butter

1-2T sweetener (raw honey, coconut nectar, maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc)

1/2t vanilla

1/2t cinnamon

1/4t sea salt

1 cup oats

2 cups non dairy milk

Directions:

Place all ingredients in double boiler and warm until oats are absorbed with the milk. You can soak your oats ahead of time, using less milk, for a quicker method of warming. Add extra almonds, coconut, and blueberries for a delicious topping if so desired. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. This will thicken, so you may need to add more milk when you eat it again.
