We love our beverages and what a better way to get some fabulous nutrition than in a drink! We have come to love this simple recipe using green tea as the base. If you're not a green tea lover, this just might be the way you can drink it and incorporate all those nutritional benefits into your diet. With the berries, we have used just blueberries, or just cherries and then a mixture of both. Once I added some mango to it and that was good but had a little more pulp to it. You can always strain the juice if you don't like pulp. Super easy, super simple! Our kind of recipe.

Green Tea Berry Blend Beverage


5 cups water

6 green tea bags (we mix up our green teas)

3/4 cup-1 cup fresh orange juice

1 1/2-2 cups berries (we used frozen blueberries and sweet cherries)

sweetener of choice (we didn't add any sweetener to ours)


I added my 5 cups of water to my tea kettle and put it on the lowest temperature which was 110 degrees. You don't want this too hot as you are going to brew it for several hours. After the water reached 110 degrees, I emptied the water into a large mason jar and put the tea bags in to brew. I will do this in the morning and let it sit all day or if I do it at night, I will let it sit until the next day. Take out your tea bags and discard. Next, you'll need your blender. Add some of the green tea to your blender along with the orange juice and berries and sweetener if using. Blend well. Pour this mixture back into the mason jar with the rest of your green tea. I store my drink in the refrigerator. You'll need to shake it up each time you use it as the ingredients will settle some. If you don't like any pulp, you can strain the juice. Enjoy a nutritious drink!
